Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996, in Miami Florida. The daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. The daughter is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother is Spanish as well as English origin. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's previous marriage. They resided in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, later moving to Victoria district of London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatizing and she did not study English to avoid moving back to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was forced to change schools. Later she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she was 16 she quit school to make a career of acting. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to become an actress and her goals were realized when she was given the opportunity to model Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
