Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop stars: an artist capable of effortlessly bridge the gap between pop and country music and conquer the world. Swift left country music like it was a second layer and proved that she's perhaps the smartest pop-singer/songwriter her generation. A person who has the ability to tap into the zeitgeist to make it personal, and perform in the opposite. Swift's talents are evident in some of her first tracks, including the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on the second album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift could identify who she is and find audiences across the globe. Fearless went on to become a global hit, not only in the United States (where it earned six times platinum for the Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") but in Canada, Australia as well as the U.K. and many other countries. Swift could build on her progress by releasing Speak Now almost two year following. In the three albums that followed (Reputation 2017, 1989 2014, and Red 2012) Red 2012, 1989 2014 along with Reputation 2017, her success only grew. It was a clear indication that she was in an entirely new world of pop which she was able to fit into. The popularity of her music grew after she reformulated her approach in 2020's more streamlined siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
