Kari Sam Wuhrer born on April 28, 1968, is an American actor and singer. Her career started when she was still in her teens. Her most notable roles include Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders and also the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter Karin Noble (nee Noble), who works as Payroll accountant as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer (a officer and dealer in cars). She has three brothers and sisters. As a teenager She performed in nightclubs and would sneak out of the house to sing. At the Wooster School, at 13 years old She began her studies in the art of drama. Later, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with the well-known instructor Uta Hagen, Wuhrer studied. Kari stepped into acting as a teenager, and her first television break was in 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
