Amanda Blake

Amanda Blake (born Beverly Louise Neill) was an incredibly known American actress. Her most famous role was Kitty Russell, the role she played on Kitty Russell on the TV program 'Gunsmoke.' The actress was also famous for her role in a variety of television series like 'The Red Skelton Show,' "Tattletales," as well as The Edge of Night. Also, she appeared in hundreds of movies, including 'Stars in My Crown' 'Duchess of Idaho", 'Cattle Town', 'Miss Robin Crusoe'and 'About Mrs. Leslie', 'The Adventures Hajji Baba', 'High Society' and 'The Boom'. Formerly a telephone operator, Blake was an avid animal fan. Along together with Frank Gilbert, she was the first person to successfully breed cheetahs in captivity. She was an American actor was one of founding co-founders of Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL). Blake was a past committee member for the Humane Society of the United States. Blake was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Blake was given a Courage Award by the American Cancer Society.
