
Pichai Sundararajan better known as Sundar Picha, is an Indian-American business executive. He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google.Born in Madurai in India,[4] Pichai obtained his degree from IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. After moving to the United States, he attained an M.S. He graduated with a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He also obtained an MBA from Wharton School of Pennsylvania. After a brief time with the management consulting firm McKinsey and Co., Pichai joined Google in 2004 as a product manager. He directed the product management and innovations for a range of Google's client-facing software, including Google Chrome and ChromeOS as well as being in charge of Google Drive. In addition Pichai was able to oversee the development of various other applications such as Gmail and Google Maps. In the year 2010, Pichai also revealed the open-sourcing for the new video codec called VP8 from Google and unveiled the new video format, WebM. The Chromebook came out in 2012. Pichai also added Android to the Google products that he managed in 2013.
